Tragurion, today Trogir, was founded by the Greek colonists, merchants of Mother Issa (Visa) during the 3rd century BC. It is one of the oldest Mediterranean cities with a continuity of existence of four millennia. The castle and tower surrounded by walls make up the center of Trogir for which it is said to be “the most beautiful and the most artistic island of the world” – the most beautiful and artistic most invasive island of the world.
The town of Trogir is situated on the coast of the Kaštela Bay, on the island between Čiovo and the mainland, connected by stone bridge to the mainland. It consists of eight settlements: Arbanija, Divulje, Drvenik Mali (Ploče), Drvenik Veliki, Mastrinka, Plano, Trogir and Žedno.
Kaštel Novi – Kaštel Novi is a village located along the coast of the Kaštela Bay, northwest of Split. The central fortress in Kaštel Novi, around which the settlement was later developed, Pavo Antun Ćipiko in 1512 and the core of the settlement consists of a clock tower, a church and a town loggia. The place attracts simple beauty, and offers many different opportunities for sports and recreation. Kaštel Novi is famous for its fun nights and public festivals. In the field above Kaštel Novi has been growing vineyards ever since. Old varieties such as the Kaštela Crater, in the world, and especially in California, better known as Zinfandel.
